The Goals of the Naavat David Association
To promote emergency medicine in the community
To promote initiatives and research in the field of emergency medicine
Promote emergency medical services for disadvantaged populations
To train medical teams in the field
Encourage the deployment of emergency medical services and emergency equipment in the community
Implement new technologies in the field

The association was established in memory of Rabbi Dr. David Applebaum and his daughter Naava, of blessed memory. Dr. David Applebaum and his daughter Naava (RIP) were murdered in a terrorist attack at Café Hillel in Jerusalem on September 9, 2003

The association has been active since 2014 and carries out projects and activities such as
Procurement and operation of medical equipment and resuscitation kits for community clinics
Purchase and operation of dedicated kits and simulation dolls for resuscitation training
Initiating and institutionalizing the Applebaum Prize to encourage the excellence and perseverance of paramedics
Funding and accompanying 'young entrepreneurs' groups in high schools in Jerusalem and the near area
Support the clinic for the stateless workers in Tel Aviv

The projects are carried out in cooperation with non-profit organizations and other entities including
 Terem clinics, Teva, the Paramedics Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, Yad Tamar Association
 Blood of the Maccabees association and more
